Who,What,Where?
Ginki asked me what I thought about all this talk about Myakka gangs and Myakka Gold. I have not seen any gangs. Aren't they supposed to be real visible, as in dressing alike and strutting around being awful? I am proud of the kids and young adults I know in Myakka (even if Roy isn't).
The Season
I just have to say, it would be a lot easier to get into the holiday spirit if we did not have sweat running down in our eyes while trying to hang the outside Christmas lights up. I got half of mine put up, and gave up! Some were not ready to give up the fight so easy. I've seen a wonderful display of lights all over the community.
Each year as I drive by the home of Joe and Kelly Ness and see Joe out there with his ladder staring up into the tree's I wait anxiously to see his final creation! His neighbors soon follow the lead and they produce a wonderful site to drive by in the evenings.
I would also like to say what a terrific job the folks at our local post office are doing! I've been in twice with friends to mail their numerous packages out of state to friends and family. The service has always been excellent and speedy as the clerks greet their customers, most by name. This is one more display of the advantage we have in our small community.
